Status of the service
Riven is currently operated as an invite-only alpha. Features, availability and these legal texts may change while the service is being validated with a small group of design partners. See the terms of service and the privacy notice for details.
Data sources and attribution
Place names, their hierarchy and their alternate spellings come from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Riven has modified the data: it is filtered to the countries we operate in, reorganised into a containment hierarchy, and stored alongside our own records.
Location text you type into a search is resolved with OpenStreetMap Nominatim. That data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). The privacy notice describes what is sent there and what is not.

We take care to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee completeness or timeliness. Unclaimed specialist profiles are assembled from public professional sources and are labelled as such; the owner of a profile can claim, correct or remove it at any time. Links to external websites point to content for which the respective operators are responsible.
